Spring-loaded TOFU PRESS – SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE
- Lock the spring in the bottom container
- Place the tofu in the green inner tub
- Put the inner tub on the spring in the bottom container
- Place the lid on top of the tofu
- With one hand pressing the lid, clip the buckle with the other hand
- Leave in the fridge for the desired length of time. When you have finished pressing, pour away the water, release the clips and remove your pressed tofu.
CRAFTED DESIGN TOFU PRESS
Built-in with drainage holes in the bottom let water drip into the collecting tray, while the corner feet keep your tofu clear of the water below. The white tray at the bottom collects any water pressed out of the tofu, which can be poured away without having to take the press apart.

My boyfriend is a vegetarian and I have been putting in the hard effort to make all our meals that we have together vegetarian/vegan. I’ve never been the biggest fan of tofu, but this press has turned the table on that.
I spent a good time looking at different presses. I knew I wanted something that was self contained so I could just leave it in the fridge without having to baby-sit it or repeatedly have to drain out the water. However, I didn’t want to spend $50 on something used to squeeze a $2.00 brick of tofu and some of the designs out there seemed a bit excessive. This press checked all the boxes for me.
Using the press for the first time was a little wonky, but after getting the feel for it and how to get the latches pressed down, it’s not an issue at all.
I was surprised at how much this press was able to change the density and texture of the tofu. I am actually excited to make more!

This thing is a game changer for me. I’ve never been good at getting the water pressed out of my tofu until I bought this product. Now I put my tofu in this nifty little press and walk away until I need to season it for cooking. Admittedly the first few times we used it the press seemed impossible to close, but my husband fearlessly smooshed it down on the spring until the latches were secured. (I was convinced he was going to break it!) After several uses, the spring seems to have relaxed enough for me to be able to use it now. The tofu does get smooshed out of shape but I don’t care about that. Now I can fry tofu without splattering oil everywhere! Or if I want to soak it in marinade it actually absorbs for a well flavored dish! I highly recommend.
